PCR tests Vs lateral flow test (LFT)

If you are suffering from any COVID-19 symptoms (new continuous cough, fever, loss of taste or smell) book a PCR test with the COVID testing unit.

Lateral flow tests are used to check if you are infectious now, working mostly when people are asymptomatic and have a high level of the virus.

Once you become symptomatic, PCR testing is the only valid way to confirm you have COVID-19. This is because PCR testing is more sensitive, meaning it can detect the virus even after active infection has passed.
