Seasonal Flu Vaccination

Influenza – flu – is a highly infectious and potentially serious illness caused by influenza viruses. Each year the make-up of the seasonal flu vaccine is designed to protect against the influenza viruses that the World Healflujabsth Organization decide are most likely to be circulating in the coming winter.

Regular immunisation (vaccination) is given free of charge to the following at-risk people, to protect them from seasonal flu:

  • people aged 65 or over,
  • people with a serious medical condition
  • people living in a residential or nursing home
  • the main carers for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer becomes ill
  • healthcare or social care professionals directly involved in patient care

Eligable patients will be encouraged to book into clinics when available. These clinics will be advertised within the surgery when dates have been confirmed.

SystmOne Online Services

Helping your healthcare routine fit your lifestyle…

Not everyone can access their GP surgery during its normal opening hours. SystmOne helps by letting you manage your appointments and repeat medication over the internet.

All you need to do is speak to practice staff to get your user name and password. Then you can start using the SystmOne services.

SystmOne is available to patients 24 hours a day. 365 days a year.

The SystmOne service has been developed and tested using standards set out by a government body called Health and Social Care Information Centre.

All personal information used by SystmOne is secure and protected. It is only available to staff at your practice who have appropriate security controls.

View, book and cancel appointments, view and request medication and fill out online questionnaires – all using quick and easy online services.

 Managing your appointments online

Booking your next appointment over the internet is easy. You can do it anytime without waiting for surgery telephone lines to open. So, whether it’s the middle of the night, your lunch break at work, or even if you are away on holiday, you can login and secure an appointment within seconds.

 Forgotten when your appointment is?

Login to SystmOne and see it. You can also change or cancel your appointment if it is no longer needed.

 Managing your medication online

If you find it hard to get to the practice to order your next repeat prescription, SystmOne could make your life easier.

Simply login to SystmOne and view a list of the medication authorised to be on repeat. Select the medication you require and click the “request medication” button.

All you have to do then is go and collect your prescription from your chosen destination as normal when ready.
